Since receiving her very first painting lesson from her aunt at the age of twelve, Sally Donovan has maintained a life-long passion for her artistic endeavors that has spanned a range of styles and subjects over the years. Following her study at the Art Students League in New York City, she has spent much of the last twenty-five years producing compositions of natural landscapes from the locales close to home and distant places.
In recent years the artist has expanded her repertoire to include urban, industrial and figurative paintings. Her most recent prize winning work, The Port of Miami, captures the quiet moments of a bustling workplace in exquisite detail. Sally is a member of the Aiken Artists Guild, Aiken Center for the Arts, The Morris Museum in Augusta GA, and WREN Gallery in New Hampshire. Her works of art are also part of private collections in Florida, California, Georgia, Kentucky, New Hampshire and the Carolinas.
